The book changed track midway, first half was chris toni romance which was nothing special to read, but the second half was all chris and toni . Chris was there for toni when she needed him, he was possessive of her, it was a slow burn relationship which was great to read. Could not understand marianna and chris romance even in savage torturer. Why did chris let marianna bleed out? He loved marianna then why did he not want a baby with her? But he was okay to have a baby with toni. Toni and chris romance felt more substanstial than marianna and chris.
