Good deal! Yes, exactly. This is why writers write, and it is truly a gift to spin a story of fiction...or fact, and it evokes a response or rather, a multitude of responses, and all as different as the readers reading them.
In fiction, it doesn't always have to be our own personal opinion etched in stone and that is the beauty of it given the crazy world we live in. An actor doesn't have to be a serial killer just because they played one in a movie. I LOVE the creative process.
I'm something of a history buff in that I'm still always fascinated by the past, the good, the bad, and the surreal of it, so there is something to be said for the reporting of facts from the past. It is what it is. But with fiction...to me it's God's gift to writers of fiction, in that we get to make things completely as we want them to be, and be able to bring a reader deep into the world we create and captivate them...we hope. In that regard, it's up to the reader to interpret the meaning, if indeed there really is one, or just enjoy the literary ride. Fiction is my true passion. And in the crazy reality-based, sometimes abhorred life of LT, when we wished they made better choices in somethings, much like we do with ourselves, it's refreshing to be able to entertain, engage in a bit of hopefully harmless escapism through making up some stories about them that we like better. No harm, no foul. :-D But you know all of this, so I'm not stating anything new here. I'm rambling. So sorry. I'll just reiterate. Welcome back, and I look forward to reading your work again.
