I wrote my first full book in seventh grade. It wasn't great, but it was the start of something great. I recently took a creative writing class, and it was the best experience of my life. Writing gave me a way to escape from the horrors of the reality into my safe space where I could do anything, be anything, and everyone got a happy ending.
