She has been a story teller all of her life and she lives in Scotland. When she isn't writing, Marilyn is reading, often for pleasure, often as part of her research. With a theatre arts performance background, Marilyn wrote and directed quite a few plays both commissioned and for communities including theatre in education.  A lover of culture and belief, and people, she loves unusual characters and her "need to know" helps her understand many of the stories about the people that she writes about.  A family woman, Marilyn has been blessed with both Grandchildren and a great grand-daughter who teaches her a lot.  In her earlier years Marilyn taught many children and adults both drama and story telling and building skills.
