Wow-umm. . .I have written stuff all my life. Poems, songs, random lines, short stories, even a book (yep, a "real" book-last time I checked it was at # 1,653,569 on Amazon's rankings. Lovely, huh?). But recently I have been inspired by some changes in my life to get back to it.
I like supernatural stories and also stories that reflect life and peoples' perceptions of it. It is awesome when I truly believe the author-whoever it is-is writing from the heart. I like it when I read some vivid description of emotion-raw, unbridled emotion-and go "wow. . ." That emotion, that passion, can come from many places-the thrill of victory or the pain of a loss, abject horror and fear, the heartbreak of love lost, or the ecstasy of true love consummated. In real life, I wear my heart on my sleeve, and that will probably come through in my writing. And, I won't lie. I like stories that end up as they "should"-while recognizing that life is rarely that freaking easy.
My inspiration is multi-layered and complicated, and yet, so simple. But it is only for me to know and try to understand, for now. Maybe that will change and I will reveal it, maybe not.
By the way, "Into the City" comes first, then "Thistle's Story", then "Brannock: Back in the Saddle". "le Fae" is a standalone story.
Talk at me if you like. I am pretty nice.
