okay, so, there’s something i REALLY need to talk about because honestly, it’s really bothering me and i don’t think i can keep it in anymore.
i’m genuinely so mad after watching yesterday’s match, and judging by everyone’s reactions, i’m clearly not the only one.
i’m sorry, but i don’t understand how anyone can watch that game and genuinely believe the officiating was fair. because clearly, every decision went against egypt.
our goal gets disallowed, but somehow argentina’s goals stand. we had a moment that looked like they deserved a penalty, but nothing was given to us, and the referee even refused to check the var, yet argentina ended up getting one?? every challenge from egypt seemed to end with a foul, a yellow card, or even a red card, while argentina’s players could make reckless challenges, kick our players, shove them around, punch them in the face, and barely face any consequences. how is that even fair?
and then at the end, instead of listening to the complaints from our side, the referee just started handing out yellow cards to our head coach and anyone who questioned his decisions. how is that fair? if you’re confident in your calls, then explain them. why did it feel like every important decision favored one side?
i didn't watch the whole match, but up to the part I saw, egypt had scored two goals and i really thought they were going to win (i was really rooting for them)
since i had just woken up, i went to do what i had to do and after a few minutes when i saw that
argentina had won i was (????)
i got really annoyed afterwards watching some videos about the match because it was really unfair how the refereeing favored argentina and eliminated egypt, who played really well
(not a single brazilian was rooting for argentina btw)
