i think the conformity gate theory is too smart for the duffers to conceptualize. i think they’d lean towards vecna successfully merging the abyss and hawkins and the ending is just the characters living in vecna’s new world or something (that’s if they actually planned out a “real” ending and the finale wasn’t just shitty writing on their part, which i highly doubt)
