Have you ever forced your mind to put away some thoughts?
Some really bitter memories, or experiences that act as weights, pulling you down with twice the force that you put in to forget them and surface up?
Those nagging beasts, that pull you into despair and desolation, making you feel weighed down, and burdened.
You try, you really try to emancipate yourself from the pain, to feel the freedom of having let go.
But no, it creeps, slowly and steadily, from the time of the morning sun to that of the moonlit night, from happiness to gloom, clinging onto you, never letting you go.
The guilt that you feel will one day swallow you whole.
You try to forget, to rid yourself of the pain, but in the process, you end up getting caught in a string of events that you wished never happened, forcing time to freeze and trapping you with it in the past.
Have you felt the feeling of doing something you yearned to do, yet feeling as if this wasn't what you wanted, that empty feeling you get when you feel as if something is moving, moving far away from you, and you are desperately trying to find it?
You want to sleep, really, get a moment's rest, but the minute you shut those tired eyes, a hint of moisture from them awakens you and you move into flashback.
Those images, supposedly beautiful memories.
So beautiful.
You want to go back, leave everything and drift back.
But no, your place is HERE.
You are meant to be here.
You HAVE to be here.
