          cherri watched her go   ,  mouth agape slightly  .  she gently reached out to donna as she turned away , yet she didn't fully extended her arm .  she'd like to think she could stop her , but she feared it would make the situation worse .
          
          && so she did it .
          
          she let donna go .

          at her words , cherri 's heart nearly stopped .  her shoulders slumped slightly as she removed her arms from donna's shoulders , letting them fall limp in her lap . how could she be so FOOLISH .  of course , she had let herself think with her heart instead of her brain once again .  
          
          "  oh  -  i see .   it's alright , donna .  i don't mind  -  it's common at this point , " she offered a weak smile .  she crawled off of the amazon , seating herself on the plush cushion next to her  , eyes glued to her red nails   -  eyes glued to anything but the woman next to her .

          a muffled squeak filled the room as donna's lips met cherri's own - yet cherri didn't fight back .  she fell into the kiss with just as much need and want as donna hand , slender arms looping around the amazon's shoulders in an attempt to be closer to her  .   
          
          even after they parted , cherri chased her lips with a few chaste kisses in a desperate need to savor the moment between them .
