But definitely if you properly get in it and are sucked into the real thing, dial 911. But literally they cannot get you if you block, that is a superstition. Just some friendly tips from a paranoid person that was terrified of them for a while, block don’t talk. There ya go dodged the situation.

Creepy ass shit is happening. About an hour ago my dog was barking at the front door. Nothing was there when me and my sister looked. Now she has a pair of scissors and I have a knife in case we need to defend ourselves. And now about 10 minutes ago she heard a noice. Nothing again when we checked. Looks like it's time to pull an all nighter.
