@matildasengland I love how you’ve done it in Half of Me. I think it’s really respectful and well written. Definitely captures the racing fear, the grief, the strength, and the joy that comes with it all. So like that sounds nice, however that looks. Some of the complexities we have (and trust me the list is loooooong so here’s just a couple) Autism level 3 with a nonverbal child until he was 5, borderline intellectual disorder, vision issues with potential blindness caused by 3 different issues, hearing loss - moderate not profound, a genetic disorder that’s never been documented before that is the cause of all of the above and more, CPTSD, severe scoliosis with spinal fusion required, and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (genetic connective tissue disorder). And that’s just for one of my kids and not all of what he’s faced. I feel seen in your story like I’ve not felt before, so thank you.
