[Just a little Thank You to those nice people who are reading this]

I’m a big advocate for the occasional outburst of introspective honesty. For if you can’t be honest when there is only a blank page in front to accept any wayward blame. Then it is doubtful it will ever come out. Poetry has always been cathartic for me. Reducing the words till the bare bone support of a poem seems to rationalise feelings that I cannot otherwise explain. It is always great to find out how readers interpret my poems, because sometimes in drawing the dots together it is difficult to see the full picture created. For I struggle to remove my “writer’s hat” and am still critical of each individual segment and how it is woven together. Therefore, I cannot truly appreciate my own work, but in its place I have found an incredible amount of joy from getting responses such as these. Thank you so much for taking the time to write and showing your support. It is uplifting and helps me continue when words get the better of me.

I agree on being introspectively (I haven't used such a word before, Wattpad really is testing my vocabulary) honest, and I often do it with my poetry too. I don't let anybody read it though. I think that is like taking them into a part of my mind I even fear to go myself.

Thank you for writing. It is obvious you put hard work into your work, and the pains are not fruitless for you produce great poetry.

I wish you all the best with your work, Mr Bennett.

@matt_bennett Thank you so much. You have no idea how happy this message made me. The poems I write in "Rain" are written in the spur of the moment and I refuse to go back and edit them because I want to leave it as it was originally in my mind. I'm really happy you liked it. Thank you, again, for this lovely message you left!!

@inevitably_ Hey no problem. I was reading one of your poetry collections, which I now know is “Rain”, on the train journey this morning. I really enjoyed it, but at the time it remained a nameless gem. However, I spent the rest of my return journey trying to retrace my steps to find it again. I’m glad that I did. Also, I should thank you, somewhat indirectly, because I found some truly beautiful writing when trying to find yours. I’m looking forward to reading more from you.
