@supposedWildflower makes sense. I think everyone has considered suicide at one point but not completely seriously.

@supposedWildflower My last year in college I was a resident assistant living in the residence halls with first-year students. Some students can get quite depressed living away from their home for the first year, and some of them come from really crappy backgrounds too, so we need to be prepared to make sure we can catch them before they get too far down that line.
            
            I've also worked in some summer programs that have high shool students staying on-site, and it's kind of the same thing there as well. Some people come from tough backgrounds, some people are bullied, and some people get into a bad state of mind. I think one of the statistics we were told is that 1 in 7 high school aged students said in an anonymous survey they had at one point considered suicide.

@supposedWildflower It's good to be prepared :) but which jobs would need that training? Life must have put them through a lot of poo for them to feel like ending theirs was the only way out
