Maurice Brown is a UCLA English major with a passion for storytelling and a love for Bollywood. He shares his home with five feline friends who keep him company while he writes. Currently, he is working on his ongoing novel, "Birds of a Flock," a tale set in a world where humans can transform into birds and are divided into different castes based on their abilities. The story follows Ava, a teenage girl from the lowest caste who dreams of soaring free from the oppressive society she was born into. As Ava embarks on a dangerous mission with a group of friends from higher castes, they uncover dark secrets about their society and their abilities. Maurice weaves together a thrilling narrative of adventure, friendship, and self-discovery as Ava and her friends challenge the status quo and fight for equality in a world where the caste system reigns supreme.
