when she was put on her feet ,,  terra swore she was going to collapse .  but when she felt his touch ,,  terra leaned into his warmth .  she grabbed his hands and let out another sob .  she looked back into his eyes and then closed hers .  she copied him and then slowly stopped crying .  she opened her eyes back up and then she spoke ,,  " i love you .  i wasn't ready to tell you back then but i'm ready now . "  terra let her heart be soft for a moment .  unfrozen and beating .  she was so scared when she was younger .  she was scared to be abandoned and hung out to dry .  love wasn't an option for her .  not with her dad around her like a shadow .  but it's different now .  she can love him now .  she knows she can .  she's allowed to .  maybe they can change like he said .  they won't argue as much .  she can be less stubborn and more inclined to try new things .  terra's face got warm and her gaze lowered .  she wondered what his response will be .  whatever it's going to be ,,  terra will accept it .  she just wanted to be happy .  she wanted him to be happy .

He glanced down when she yelped, a small snort leaving him at her shocked expression. He didn't really mind how roughed up she looked, his thumb gently rubbed her arm. Because of her being in his arms, he could slightly smell her perfume. Shaking his head at her words, “ No Terra.. I need to work on controlling my anger more.. I can't just keep getting mad at you for something that was an accident.. ” he spoke softly, being apart from one another had made him reflect. He did need to work on himself and his emotions, and he knew that now. He heard her voice waver, eyes widened slightly as he looked down at her quickly. Eyebrows furrowing as a small frown made its way to his lips, jaw clenching. Eyes going forward so he can watch where he walked, moving around the trees very now and then. “ But things can change... It's never not been an option.. ” he spoke reassuringly, his own eyes had started to water. He couldn't stand to see her cry, and knowing she's crying just hurts. Hurts.. She's hurting because of him, crying because of him. Swallowing thickly, his hands slightly trembled as he took his a sharp breath. As they came into the clearing, his cabin was finally insight. He was at a lose for words in the moment, he didn't know what to say. Being this vulnerable was extremely new to him and words are just getting caught in his throat. He made sure his balance was steady when going up the small steps onto the porch, as he got to the door he gently let her down. But instead of going to unlock the door, he turned to her. His hands moved to her face, cupping her cheeks gently as he wiped the years away. Leaning in to press his forehead against hers, eyes looking in hers for a moment before they closed. He started to slowly breath in and out, hoping the she would copy to help her and him calm down.

she let out a surprised yelp and clung onto him .  her nails dug into his shirt and her eyes went wide .  terra was caught off guard but she quickly got her bearings .  however her appearance was quite frazzled up close .  her hair wasn't as neat as it usually is and there was a smudge of dirt on her cheek from the fall earlier .  terra looked away embarrassed that he was carrying her .  she knew he was strong but he picked her up like she was nothing .  but if the sudden closeness didn't surprise her ,,  his confession really did .  oh man .  " amos ,,  don't worry about it .  i should've been more careful ,, " she told him in a regretful tone .  which was true ,,  she was being difficult prior and was too busy being in a bad mood to notice where she was going .  " god we were really messed up ,,  huh ?  we still are .  always fighting and  n - nothing changing .  oh man ... " she didn't even realize she started crying .  she was foolish to think that things could change or work out .  that's who they are at their core .  that's who she is .  but she loves him .  god she loves him .  " amos ,, love ,,  what are we doing ?  we hate each other but ... " her voice broke and her bottom lip trembled .  " we can't keep doing this . we can't ,, " she sobbed but even as she said that ,,  she held onto him tighter .  she was at war with herself and all she could do was cry .
