Working on that Call of the Wild rewrite. It will be posted when I have a 5 chapter buffer.
Now that I'm going back to beginning (...again) to add more detail, being able to add in all the lore I've come up with is so fun!
I was really struggling with the emotional and mental aspect of Addison and Wyatt while writing this story, I think I was more focused on finishing the story rather than properly writing characterization.
Wyatt is the main character, or was supposed to be the main character; I think I defaulted to Addison and then didn't get into the real gritty reality of Wyatt's situation and what he's going through.
This rewrite will shift the focus more on Wyatt, with the addition of more Willa (I enjoy writing their sibling dynamic) and more Wynter (she's so fun to write, but also difficult when quirky can easily become cringe) and more of the wolf pack in general. I like my Elders and there are a few side character werewolves I want to include more to give the pack a more familial-like atmosphere, though with a note that Wyatt/Wynter/Willa friendship trio seclusion is heavily tied to werewolf pack structure.
Plus, there will be more chapters that focus on the years in between Z2 and this story with just so much *angst* and a lot of mistakes and bad timing and making decisions that are dumb, cruel, or awful and everything in between.
Oh, and some mild spice. Things will get hot and heavy. I've decided to embrace the spice instead of being afraid of it.
