Happy Saturday!
Well, my covid-19-like symptoms seem to have abated. But you know what? I can tell the trees near me are about to get leafy because my seasonal allergies have kicked into high gear.
I've decided to unpublish The Dream Walker for now. That story, so out of my usual style, is taking more out of me than I thought it would. I will keep working on it, but I think I only want to have at max, two ongoing stories published at a time. You may see other stories pop up on my profile, but it's overwhelming for me right now to have more than two ongoing stories.
That said, now that I'm on the mend, it's fair to expect a new chapter for both The Ballad of Alys Fletcher and By Water and Wood each week.
In other writerly news, I've recently been submitting shorter works to literary magazines. I submitted a short story that will ultimately be part of a larger collection to 9 journals, and I submitted a historical essay of creative nonfiction to True Stories. It's been a week of heavy editing, which is easier for me to do when I'm sick, so at least I got to feel productive somehow. :)
I hope you're doing well! If you need something to read while you wait for new chapters of my two historical novels, don't forget I have two completed stories as well: Pathogen and The Day After.
