im back guys fr this time

I have a question and I feel a bit dumb asking it, but in some fanfics I've read, the author refers to Lafayette as 'they' and 'them', meaning he is Non-Binary. Is this fanon (I don't know if that's the right word but you know what I mean)? I know that it's canon/fanon (?) that Alexander is Bi, and John is Gay, and sometimes Peggy and Maia are Lesbians, so... yeah.

Some fanfics do this and some don't, I personally refer to Lafayette with male pronouns, but if that isn't correct then I have no problem changing it.

Anyway, I hope you can answer my question, I've been trying to convince myself that it's not bad to ask questions, so here I am posting this. I try to educate myself on these topics so that I can be the best Ally I can, and if I make any mistakes with pronouns, names, gender and anything else, I don't mean to, and I will try to fix that as soon as possible.

          Thanks
