them: how's writing your new story going?
          
          me: oh, it's alright i guess, i decided to skip ahead in the chronology a bit and write a scene i've had playing in my head for a few days, and—
          
          them: what?
          
          me: it's 4k fucking words

for all my FOR THE RECORD readers, sorry i haven't updated in a hot minute! i call this particular period of not updating 'the consequences of my own actions' as i didn't have the faintest clue of where this story was headed when i started posting aside from a few scenes i still wanna write. i don't think i'll have an update anytime soon, but know i am still very much thinking about writing and finishing the story when i get a chance, despite all the obstacles that get in the way.
          
          currently, i'm working part-time, sleeping half the day, and intend to go to university next year after a long, dark hole of depression, so there are my reasons, but i swear i haven't forgotten! we'll make it. i swear. one day. maybe. until i officially announce i'm giving up on the story, but i don't tend to do that so, we'll see!
