Hello, my name's Melissa and I am a biblioholic. 

Words transport me and sometimes, creates a world more enticing than reality. I cannot begin to describe the high that floods my mind when I get lost in a story and when it ends, I frantically look for another. A literary addict ? Probably. 
Since I don't have the talent, nor patience to be a writer, I love to indulge my mind with the work of  amazing storytellers.

Movies, television shows, music, and neuroscience are my other drugs of choice. Oh, and how could I forget, FOOD! I am constantly in search of my next foodgasm. It's not that I love eating so much but the explosion of euphoric flavors on my tongue that I crave. 

All in all, I'm a fun-loving Cape Verdean gal high on life. I learn hard, party harder, and laugh hardest.
