So I just heard a theory on Spiderman and Iron Man from the MCU.
We all Know that Tony was responsible for the creation of a couple of villains such as Vulture, Mysterio, Ultron, etc.
The theory goes that since there was no Ozcorp within the MCU proven in no way home when Green Goblin confirmed that there was no existence of the company or himself. That would mean that Ozcorp never developed the radioactive spider that bit Peter. There was one company that does exist within the MCU with the technology to develop this spider, that has experience with radioactive weapon development, and has collide access to a super soldier that the spider was originally created to replicate.
The theory says that Stark industries made the spider, and since Peter was always a huge fan who went to the stark industries expos sene when he was a kid.
Peter went back as an adult and ended up being bitten.
It would explain how he got his powers, and Tony who noticed the disappearance of one of the spiders would look for it and find a kid who gained spider powers a bit after its disappearance would look into him. Which explains why he had info on Peter before ever meeting him and why he was interested in him in general. It would also explain why Tony feels the need to help and protect Peter to this extent.
