"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style" - Maya Angelou

Oh Maya, is that not what we all try to do?

For now I will pretend like this is only for my eyes. These secret stories which I have kept for years can be let out onto the internet. Is it backwards for one to wish to keep their stories to themselves yet post them on the world wide web? Is it also ironic to wish to fade away, but instead cause a memorable death? Irony is fabulous. Oxymorons are fabulous. Life is fabulous. LOL*. Who am I kidding.

My name is Emily Elizabeth. I am a self proclaimed author, poet and artist trying to survive the struggles of the real world in the Middle-Of-Nowhere Kansas. I am trapped in a bubble of safety and " happiness", but I am running out of oxygen. These stories are me escaping from the "perfect city" to a life away from the dramas of perfection which I am supposed to survive. My poetry is real- except for the fake stuff;). I make my own covers and I take pride in that. It makes everything for official, in a way.
