There’s a tiktok sound going around and it says “you don’t know me… but I know you.” That’s how I feel when I read my old poems. My 16/17 year old self doesn’t know me, but I know her. Kind of weird. I took down my biggest book with the most poems. If anyone wants to read them I can put some back up.

@mendesbean98 This! I was going through old stuff recently and found a journal of stuff my younger self wrote, that really resonates with me. I think she was more cheerful, but at the same time super wise. I guess I should take my on advice lol. I'd love to read your work.

Hi All!

I wanted to hop on and give an update.

My second year of college is still tough, but so much better than last year. I don’t cry myself to sleep every night anymore, which is really nice.

I still have hard days. But I’m a lot closer with my parents and brother and I have a few friends now.

I’m working each day to try and be more patient with myself and be better.

If you’re younger and reading this, I guess I want to say that it can get better. It may not ever be perfect but it can get better. I promise.

I can’t believe I’m almost 20, and this app has been part of my life for I guess almost 5 years now. Crazy.

          Hope you’re all well. ❤️

@Alex49246 Hey, I’m sorry it’s so hard for you. I remember coming on here as a sophomore in highschool who was really struggling. I won’t tell you it didn’t get worse before it got better. Junior year was really rough. Senior year was okay. Freshman year of college is rough.

Life as a young adult has its ups and downs, but I have faith in you that you can get through it. ❤️
