Can someone explain to me, why the parents, or mostly the mom, always gotta be dead in these missing mafia princess books? I mean did somehow the universe and everyone else agree that the parents always have to be dead or that the mom is always the bad guy? And then they talk about how good of a person the dad was and how he loved his daughter and stuff and how the oldest brother misses him and I get sad all over again

@mercyformilfs I think for me personally, there is something very appealing about having a protective father, which is why they are often portrayed as overly perfect. I've read a few good missing mafia princess stories where the mother is also good and present, but I think that's just part of the cliche. I will say that all of my stories on Wattpad (I have a few unpublished ones) have complex mother-daughter relationships, but that is a personal choice.

@bigbrownbambieyes  Okay wait wth. Why am I seeing this message only now ?! But yeah your book 'Standing next to you' is really great and i did enjoy it. I even recommended it to some of my kpop friends lol. Your a really talented good writer :)
