a book that should've been treated as a cautionary tale is being treated like an instruction manual by a clown.

just a thought but this is what i've noticed in wattpad in 77% new books: writers write and publish the prologue with a bunch of other chapters with the playlist, the graphics, the aesthetics, the character cast list etc (i do it as well bc it's so funn!)– in which they put their literal heart & soul into and they are absolutely gorgeous and everything. But then they don't update the story anymore! Like straight up don't publish anything else after giving us the prologue! Why?!
if you want to abandon a story, at least do it mid-way (lol), so that we can actually see what the story was about! If you abandon it even before starting it then why did you feed it to us in the first place!
where's the justice?! i want divine intervention!

@meridathebeaver i can just get veryyy insecure about my writing and so shrugging it off just doesn’t work for me i fear. my fics won’t ever be considered abandoned (in my mind) bc i do plan on publishing chapters eventually

i planned so many things for christmas this year. turns out i can't even go home bc of my schedule. my vacation is officially ruined.
I remember opening this acc back in 2020/21 and how vibrant it was here during that time. I was fresh out of high school back then and now I'm at the end of my undergrad degree.
I guess the COVID era did have some of its perks (speaking very lightly here).
I had quite a lot of friends here when I just started writing The Godmother and we had the personal dm so we could bond more intimately. Taking private dm off of wattpad was one of the worst decision this platform has done and that's saying the least.
I took a 3 yr break myself as most of the accounts I was friends with are permanently inactive now but I hope they're doing well in life. It's a bittersweet feeling really.
I'm busy in life as well with a hectic schedule but writing a silly little fanfic here brings me a kind of therapeutic joy I can't quite decribe in words.
Just some late night nostalgia.
@cosmiclayba i know we get ton of shit during our high school but after college/uni when we enter the adult life, we realize those were actually some good ol' days. harsh and bitter truth.
