@VianneRocher24 Someone in the acting world who manages to break out of the mold must have not just talent, but intelligence to realize his/her career needs a shift in direction. So kudos to him for taking notice. Yes, Southpaw was really good. However, I personally found it a bit predictable. I've seen other films where boxing is at its core and many, if not all of them, have the same plot. Some people have even declared it cliché-ridden and I can see why they believe it. But that doesn't diminish how well it was done. And Jake was the best part of it, he solely carried the story and pushed it forward. I did get a bit teary eyed at the scenes with him and the girl playing his daughter though. :)
