I just want to say that I've been reading a lot of preferences and imagines and I'm EXHAUSTED of reading about girls who are weak, and Insecure, and girls who take physical and verbal abuse from anyone. 
          
          I understand that these Y/N characters are based off of real people who have these issues and I think it's great that they are being translated into books that people can relate to...
          
          BUT
          
          These characters should be the kind girls idolize...
          
          AND I honestly don't think preferences and/or imagines that romanticize physical and verbal abuse are okay. 
          
          And you know exactly the ones I'm talking about, which are like 'he hits you' or 'he insults you' which by the way always have the girl forgiving whoever the preferemce is about just because he said "OMG baby I'm so sorry I hit you and called you a fucking whore, can you please forgive me??" 
          
          I mean, every other Preference I read about Shawn Mendes is that he calls you a slut.
          
          In the real world, people I know have dumped their boyfriends because of that. Just because he's Shawn mendes doesn't make it okay. Plus I'm pretty sure he'd never say that to any girl.
          
          Or even a 5sos preference where Luke beats you up. All he has to do it say he's so sorry and that's the end. Physical abuse is traumatizing, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't ever talk to my boyfriend if he tried to hit me.
