Hi yeah I'll be mostly editing chapters for this book but I'll be doing a few requests here and there too. Please go check it out if you're into oneshot books (and holiday oneshot books!)

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has added one of my books to a reading list (I see you!) and to their libraries (I do not see you! But still thank you!) It's nice seeing people appreciate my writing and awaiting my next upload, whenever that might be.

Maybe I’m just mad, or maybe Everyone else is too, however legitimate criticism of Wattpad:

First off, stop changing the fucking layout. It was fine before, and it's fine now, but don't fix things that aren't broken when there isn’t a reason too. No one should have to relearn how to navigate it and get to their own damn profile. Changing the layout between every update with no new features that have any affect on the layout just makes the app seem hella amature and like you don't know what you want. And maybe, just maybe, start listening to your damn users? There was literally an app-wide outrage when you changed the overall look and layout the first time (and changed the logo which I suppose is fine for legal and creative reasons, but we all know the reasons you gave were low-key bullshit) but besides that, everyone hated the colors, (the orange was ugly before, but it's even uglier now.) hated most of the new features, and it's not like we were quiet about it, Everyone pretty much came knocking at your doors about it with torches and pitchforks. Since then, there really has been a rapid decline of both the people in the app and the app itself. Not many wanted to be here anymore, so they moved elsewhere to AO3, Quotev, and Fanfic.net or even DeviantArt to post their stories. WRITERS moved to an ARTIST app because it seemed better than wattpad. If you really think you're going down the right direction after people keep leaving for other writing sites then maybe, just maybe you’re driving people away with features that weren’t needed or wanted in the first place.

And there it is, my four paragraph-long review of Wattpad since its too long for G-play. Honestly, if it keeps going I may migrate somewhere else like Quotev or AO3. maybe even fanfiction.net. don't know, but I do know Wattpad doesn't listen to their users and it's not only making them look very bad, but its also losing them users.

However, I feel the most egregious thing about your recent updates is that chapters still don't save properly, and as you add more features, the actual writing aspect of the app gets worse and worse. I, and many other writers to my knowledge have had the problem where when saving the story it tells us there was a problem saving, and we would have to go back into version history and figure out which one would do the least damage. This hasn’t happened to me in a while, mostly because I haven’t actually written anything I didn’t sit down and finish then and there, or go on my computer to do one part of, however even then, people are having new problems with chapters where they duplicate. I suppose that if this were a new app I'd get the constant fixing of different bugs, however this app has been around for almost as long as I have, and I have less bugs than it, and yet this app has either had the same persisting problems or new ones that seem amature. Not only that two other writing apps/websites who are two years younger than Wattpad don’t seem to have these problems, and while I’m sure they have their own problems, I’ve heard less horror stories of their chapters getting deleted for no reason from their sites.

Overall, since I joined in 2017, Wattpad has just gone downhill and at this point just keeps going down faster and faster and yet I have heard no announcements from the staff about it (I find it very funny how your conversations are turned off on the main account). Just maybe for once listen to your users and maybe artists when they say no color should be that damn saturated.

Besides the layout, another thing I have noticed (besides the screen being epilepsy warning worthy.) is that the ads are far too much. Normally I would say suck it up, apps have to make money to stay on the store unless they are functioning off of donations (But to be honest, me, and many other people probably wouldn’t want to donate to something that A) keeps fucking over its users and B) doesn’t listen to its audience.) but the amount that there are whie reading is ludicrous, considering most chapters are much longer than 10 minutes, and one would think that the people making a writing app would know that most people don’t read that fast. There are other ways you could implement ads, just by looking at one app I could suggest a few such as putting ads between some paragraphs (which would probably work best on browser, add a few of the ads you have between chapters (but you know, in longer increments because having to view and ad that takes a minute, or sometimes even more if it doesn’t go to a black screen, every chapter doesn’t make me want to stay on the app to read.) or even use an increased amount of ads option to earn coins or watch ads for coins, a function most likely not exclusive to bakery story and any game like it. Not only that, I notice there is only one ad on the homescreen (I guess it's reasonable since most of the stories you show on there are very loosely based on things I have read before.) so maybe add a few there too.
