For anyone who has been reading and enjoying my series portraying Logan in a world I created, I would like to thank you! I would also like to give a few updates.
I've been trying to figure out a story that works post Ghost of Revenge, but nothing I put together felt right. The Marvel timeline is floating and complicated, so any time I would start an adventure on Earth (even if it is an alternate Earth) it didn't feel like it fit anywhere. On top of that, I've been continuously revising and thinking deeply about the story itself and the implications of both canon events and events in this alternate universe.
With that, I managed to pin down a rough timeline of events that allows for some parallels between known Marvel history. These parallels add depth to Logan's interactions in Aela's world as well as his relationship with her while allowing deviations that feel natural to an alternate timeline. I don't anticipate many actual changes since the focus is on what's happening in her world, but there are themes and connections I'm hoping to show more clearly and there's a whole mess of "Deleted Scenes" that I cut from the original works for the sake of keeping them a manageable length.
That being said, I'm probably going to be going in to edit the existing work where it needs to be worked on and creating a new story to continue their adventures.
Placing her on Earth allows for rich storytelling that touches on issues commonly addressed in X-Men comics, the way she's experienced her own parallels in her wars, and how being something entirely new to Earth creates both political and internal tensions. It's also promising to be a wonderful opportunity for her character to develop, as she has the space to explore her relationship with Logan and her own inner self in an environment where she's not the main figure leading a resistance against an evil empire.
I hope anyone who enjoys the stories told from her world will enjoy the work I put into developing this world!
