          After a long time away, I'm back. I am planning on posting a story that I started working on recently just to help me out of my writing slump (this has always been a good accountability tool for me). I'm really looking forward to sharing my writing again.
          
          I have been struggling with severe depression for the past few years, despite all of the incredible things that have happened to me (i'm a married person now), and I'm now finally feeling lighter and am seeing more clearly than I have in so many years. I'm ready to get back into writing. I'm looking forward to reconnecting with some of you!

the era of girls like girls has some to an end, and now ive been moving on to other thigns. when i wrote girls like girls and forever you and i, it was 2015. i cannot get over how long of a journey it’s been, and how many things have changed since then. i’m now at the end of my masters, doing my practicum as a therapist (!!!!!), and i’m continuously growing as an individual. my next literary journey is well on its way, and i’m so proud of it. the title of the book is called “the essence of being” and it’s not the same style of story that i’m used to writing. (there’s still going to be looooots of gayness though so don’t worry) thank you to all of you who have supported me throughout the years. i look forward to sharing this new story with you all.

I’m looking to collaborate on my newest project. I am in dire need of someone who is good at sketching/drawing characters since I know absolutely nothing about it. I have everything I need to create this project, except for art, and I really want it because I would love to see my characters come to life this way. DM me if you know anyone or are interested!

guys, i need some assistance. i need a cool name for a female character who’s a badass and has a sassy personality. dystopian vibes, apocalyptic environment, you know, that stuff. i picture shego (kim possible) whenever i think of this character. Mental health is a real thing. Anxiety is a real thing, and I have a really hard time managing it. Sometimes it’ll take me months to update, and I know it frustrates you guys, but I have to focus on myself. I’m really sorry for always letting you down when I don’t update for a while, I just have a hard time handling stuff sometimes but I’m trying to be better. I’m on my second month of my mindfulness journey, and I’m almost done my 30 day yoga journey, and I can honestly say I’m feeling a bit better. So I look forward to posting some more for you guys. Thank you for your support. Mel x

so i’m editing girls like girls, it’s insane how long ago i wrote that story!!! a new chapter for forever you and i should be up in the new year :) i’ve been focusing a lot on editing and correcting , i’m trying to make everything perfect. my goal for the new year is to publish this! thanks for the patience everyone xx

hi everyone! so i won’t be posting a new chapter until after the holidays, so expect a chapter probably after boxing day (the 26th is december). i’ll be done with family dinners by then! merry christmas, and happy holidays xox
