@-witchbxtch- you don't have to have a book of course. and as for spreads, my favorite is the 9 card past present future spread, which is really easy. you shuffle the cards, pick 3 past, 3 present, and 3 future

@-witchbxtch- for christmas, my mo mgave me a book to learn it. It was honestly the only thing i read for months until i started memorizing the meanings of cards. I suggest using a journal, where you draw a quick picture of the card, the meaning, and its own meaning to you. Using a journal really helped me memorize them.
