As a writer/judge do you think its fair to just read 1st 3 or 4 chapters of a book having 50 chapters and review or mark them??
Here it what happened with me a few days ago.
I had taken part in a contest with my book Don't leave me which in short is a romance novel of jjkx ynx kth. It has angst, depression, gore and suicide as side themes. You would know better if you already read it.
Nevertheless, as i was saying, after doing all the necessary payments to both host and the judge individually i got a completely wrong review. Usually i do accept critiques but a complete wrong review is something else! The judge simply said my book was paranormal themed which is far from the actual topic.
When i asked the host about it they simply said its not possible for a judge to read all chapters. I mean i am doing the payments bro? No body gets money here! Every award is judged the same way! Atleast 15 to 20 chapters must be read of a book having 50+ chapters.
How do you think this is fair?

@ midnight_breezee I think it's safer to give out specific chapters you want the reviewer to read.On another page, if you want a truly good review you can try and contact reviews shop that will have the time and the means to read your book fully

@midnight_breezee -- I agree with you and Hells07dealer. Unless you get a judge that has the time and loves to read, you won't get much of a review. I thought you were asking for reasons why the reviews are what they are.
