@jeshi99 @jeshi99 I like the concept behind Life After Death, especially the advanced technology that can sustain artificial life. One thing that I'm not so keen on is that I don't feel like you differentiate too much between the girls; Diane to some degree, but especially with Janet, Adele and the newer arrivals, I kept feeling like there was a lot of room in which you could have furthered their character development. I really like how you underlined their dependence on George though when one of his circuits failed. Cheers

@VioletMyth Breath of life is seriously amazing. There's nothing I would change about it; one of my very favourite novels and I love the characters. So so captivating. Thank you

VioletMyth

Thank you so much. I really am blown away by that reaction.
            I hope it continues in the same fashion as it goes on. ^_^

@Kuronoshio the Loyalty Tests were great. I really like how you set up the tests so that they were always one step ahead of the participants and how you created distractions like how the test wasnt really when they tested her. Also, the topic you explored was fascinating; i feel like you did a wonderful job exploring the darker corners of the human psyche. Having said that, it was quite honestly terrifying to read (I'm quite literally slept with the lights on - let's just say it wasnt light bedtime reading). I feel like you could have made some of the characters (perhaps Sakura or Yuki) more likeable in the sense that you could have reflected a little more on their humane side? At times, it just felt like everyone in the Loyalty Tests were focused solely on their survival, losing their humanity in the process. If this was what you were going for, by all means ignore me, but I think it would have been a little more enjoyable to read if you reminded us once in a while of the fact that these are children who have been forced into this. For example, Sakura's sister could have been a little more developed if you'd written say flashbacks from Sakura's point of view, possibly with her realization that that's no longer the driving force behind her need to survive (if that's what you were going for). But a very well written, concisely planned novel. Quick question, how did you plan it? I really like how the truth is revealed after events have occurred and I was wondering if you went back during the planning process to drop in the occasional clue.

@JSBennett I have to really really run now - I can see the ribs protruding from my poor, clearly malnourished family - but I wanted to ask real quick:
            Did you ever play Homefront, by chance? Came out about 3-4 years ago, I think? Your last comment reminded me of it.

Gotta run. Family might starve soon if I don't cook supper. They're sure acting like it, anyway. :P
            Lovely chatting with ya'll! Hoping to jump back on after Spawn's bedtime. (And a GoT episode or two.) :D

@Godhand Yes. Absolutely yes!
            If a person fights for their country, their country is almost always in the right in their opinion. That good person, with wife and kids who paid his taxes and who goes out to do right by his homeland is condemned as a monster by those on the opposing side doing exactly the same thing. A villain is often a point of view.
