to any of my american readers who are still reeling from the news of what we’re about to go through for the next four years and possibly longer: you don’t owe anything to anyone. take your time, process the news, take whatever precautions you can to prepare yourself. i know we’re all spiraling, but we will have to work through this and fight back day by day. to my fellow black women especially, we did all we could. we do not owe anyone anything. it is time to take care of yourself and your loved ones first, because no one else is going to do it for us. i’m taking a little bit to come to terms with this, and i don’t know how long it’ll be, but hopefully, i’ll be back with a new chapter for you all and in better spirits than…this. see you all soon xx

@midnightlamia I appreciate seeing this. For the past two days I felt like crying, screaming, and throwing up all at once. With this election I haven't felt peace. But I'm glad to know I still have a community behind me. As queer woman who just converted to paganism. I'm scared, and I'm not okay, and more importantly I feel numb. I just hope that I and my fellow women, queer communities, and other minorities can come together to heal before we go back and fight for what is right. My heart goes out to you and everyone who is grieving over the results of the election.

putting this out right here, right now: if you are American, and you gave your vote to the convicted felon, rapist, twice-impeached, racist monster to let him absolutely fuck over the american people, i hate you. that is not an exaggeration, and i do not care if you think it is harsh. i hate you and i hate every single moron that decided gas prices were more important than any hope for women’s rights, queer rights, foreign policy, and everything else under the sun. i don’t want you on my page, and i don’t want you reading my stories. i don’t need the support of anyone who thinks that i, as a black queer woman, should be stripped of my right to exist. i look forward to the moment when you realize that your orange idol wouldn’t even piss on you if you were on fire in front of him. may you all have the life you voted for, and wholly deserve.
