Hey everyone that reads The Hurt We Carry - you may notice that thwc has been unpublished again. I am terribly sorry for always taking it down and changing it. I’m always brainstorming and these characters live rent free in my head, and I am just always looking to write their story better. So please forgive me for some changes, including the name for the main character (Maisie)
Maisie Monroe will now be Macy Monroe.
I am embarrassed to admit that I’ve been pronouncing Maisie as MAY-SEE not MAY-ZEE wrong all these years, MAY-ZEE is how many people pronounce the name. Macy is the name stuck in my head when I write
There will be no more name changes, just this one (Macy). The plot will be relatively the same: Macy runs away, illegal fight ring, overprotective brothers, missing sister, ect.
Vibes/tropes: crime family, revenge, sibling, found family, slow burn friends to lovers, mental health awareness, family secrets.
I understand this is likely annoying so forgive me XD take care and happy reading!
@midnightpainter Dont worry about it, its your book, i trust you and your ideas!
Thanks for the follow
When are you going to update The Hurt We Carry?
i love your books so much! do you have any recommendations?
@blissfullyxox I have a reading list on my profile and recommend any of those! Most are family/siblings :) and thank you, I really appreciate your kindness!!
Hi thank you sooo much for adding my book to your reading list<3 altho i still hav A LOT to edit, i hope ur enjoying it:)))
@midnightpainter i rlly love them tooo, ive been wanting to create a love story which is genuine, good banter, n not all lust this that american series
@Zyphra54 of course, it’s really good and I love Bug and Vera! You have written their blooming relationship really well! :)
what’s your views and opinions on the main character dying at the end of a story?
I prefer when the death serves a clear purpose past their demise. I feel like the aftermath decides whether it was worth it for me, so I appreciate mid story deaths a lot more. I'm a sucker for tragic stories but if they die just for dramatic effect, my mourning is bitter and more painful. Also like cece_307 said, coming out of nowhere it's js too much to cope with if you've connected with the writing
OKAY SO I'M NOT PUSHING MYSELF JUST YET BECAUSE I JUST STARTED READING AGAIN (FINALLY) AND I JUST READ ONE OF THE BLURBS OF YOUR BOOKS AND I LOVE IT. I CANT WAIT TO READ IT (I'm a bit slow at the moment tho bc, again, I'm trying not to push myself because I've been in a reading slump for almost a whole year so gimme 1-3 business months T-T)
I was stalking you because like... I can (not in a creepy way, i legit just clicked on your profile), and your bio says where you're from and for some reason my brain understood that your name is Nova lolll
what's everyone reading atm?
I'm reading The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig (100% recommend, the gargoyle is hilarious) and then on the side I also started The Wolf King by Lauren Palphreyman
