I am an amateur historian with a keen interest in ancient, medieval and early modern civilizations. Having grown up in Moscow, Russia, I live in Israel and work as a high school English teacher.
Five years ago, I self-published my first book, "Dawn and Sunset: A Tale of the Oldest Cities in the Near East".
I'm on the lookout for a publisher for my second book: "The Enchanting Encounter with the East".
I am currently doing another research on the European quest for the maritime route to India in the 15th century.
I am a well-informed autodidact who does his best to keep abreast of modern science and believes that any knowledge needs continuous critical revision.
I upload my papers, which are based on my own online research, on academia.edu where they are open for criticism by leading experts in the field. https://independent.academia.edu/BaizermanMichael
I also keep a blog, which is the Writer's Diary http://mikebis.blogspot.com/
