@Secret_smut_acc_shhh WOW you noticed that quickly… I was going to hold off on making a formal announcement until I could get the situation sorted out further, but since you saw, I’d be more than happy to explain!! So it was brought to my attention that someone was reposting parts of that specific one-shot to their own platform without crediting me. Long story short, I spoke to the individual privately and found out that they are hesitant to remove my writing because they’re adding their own “twists” to it. Considering that this individual seems to be younger AND new to the fanfic community, I’m chatting with them about writing etiquette and plagiarism, along with what consequences could follow on Wattpad’s end if I have to report their account. They generally just seem very new to this and largely confused—especially considering that they reached out to ME first and pretty much said, “hey, love your fic! I’m using it now”—so I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt… but to prevent them from carrying on with posting my one-shot, I’ve unpublished the one-shot for the time being and blocked them on my main account… I don’t want them making another account just to continue taking my writing, so I’m being extra careful. I know it’s frustrating and I’m so sorry to have to take it down, but I’d rather sort this out now than let it become a big thing later on… ಠ_ಥ
