@minesweeper0 I was wondering what was happening lately, some of my saved stories were disappearing left and right.

Can only hope to write something on the same level of quality as you dude, starting my own thing really gave me a sense of how hard this stuff can be.

@goodnightfinn I feel ya, I use my phone only when I have a few minutes to write.

Writing on phone is a cruel and unusual punishment.

He even lets everyone know what chapter he’s working on, holy shit please god give this man the best head on planet earth Jesus.

@__Trigger__ the use of AI in writing kills me little by little, it’s such a soulless waste and I would much rather suffer through hours upon hours of writers block rather than have a robot make something up for me. Genuinely just takes everything out of a piece of work.

@minesweeper0 This, but also the odd uptick I've seen of AI fanfiction made from parameters given by a user of said AI.
            
            The entire point of fanfiction from my view is writing something in an IP that is close to your heart and giving your own spin on it, it's not for profit, not necessarily for recognition; in my view it has always been, and will always be about the enjoyment that you yourself get from writing it, improving your writing skills, and perhaps providing others with an enjoyable, original idea that only you could possibly create.  Both of these odd trends just really confuse me at the moment, because they both go directly against what I've come to understand fanfiction as.

The takeover, the breaks over... 

It looks like they're restarting the entire universe so the 'lore' is focused on the new characters who I don't really care about. I suppose new players who haven't been playing since 2016 and weren't so connected to the original characters won't care. It doesn't really appeal to me, but I've thought they've wasted the characters for so long at least something is happening, even if I don't like how they're handling characters like Doomfist.
            
            I played again after a year and thought it was fun, but I wouldn't play on my own.

@minesweeper0 I think the method I’m going with is to just use a smaller amount of reference material instead of the entirety of 60 years worth of X-Men media. Like the primary inspiration for me would be Evolution, but I’m also pulling from plenty other places because I want depth. I dunno, I think it’ll work out

@goodnightfinn I'll be so real with you, I'm the exact same way with Marvel characters but X-Men comics are a big weak spot for me. I know the big comic events ofc but most my knowledge comes from the 90s show. I'm not the authority on it, but I'm sure you'll honour the characters properly if you've got a solid plan.
