          for those who still remember my old fanfic "waves of ithaca", where i originally planned a love triangle between y/n, hermes, and apollo—i just wanted to give a small update about it ㅠㅠ
          
          you may have noticed i archived the story a while ago because it started feeling a bit overwhelming for me to continue, especially with my current schedule and how much the plot was growing. i also found myself overthinking a lot about how to balance everything (and honestly, it started feeling a bit overwhelming in my head ) so for my own peace of mind, it ended up rotting in my archives.
           
          but lately, i’ve been thinking about it again, and i realize i’m still really attached to the concept and the dynamics i built (particularly with y/n and telemachus). i still really want to finish it, but instead of continuing the full triangle, i’m considering simplifying the story and focusing on just one love interest for the main storyline, while maybe turning apollo and hermes’ dynamic—their banter over y/n—into a separate oneshot in a completely different storyline, while still preserving their original dialogue.
          
          that being said, which direction would you prefer?
           ㅠㅠ
          
          who stays? hermes or apollo?
          
          
          your input would genuinely help me decide what feels best to continue, and what i can realistically handle while still enjoying writing it again.
          
          [ also just a quick note: in this version, hermes isn’t related to odysseus (unlike some other iterations), just to avoid confusion when choosing the direction. ]

hii, sorry if the two updates look off. tbh i was too lazy to copy paste it from my docs, so i just copy pasted it off my tumblr 
          (because if i pasted from docs, the bold dialogue wouldn't be included. but if i used tumblr, the dialogue would be in bold. and i was too lazy to edit it ) 
          
          i usually update earlier on tumblr, simply because i am more comfortable with the layout there

hii, i know i don't have a consistent update schedule, and the lengths of the chapters/interludes i write are also inconsistent. but please bear with me ㅠㅠ i'm trying to figure things out. recently, i haven't been doing the best mentally due to some personal matters. my schedule for this semester is also full, i have classes for the entire week  with one of those classes being zoology(7 hours, aaaaaaa wish me luck). not to mention i live a good distance away from my uni, and traffic is a pain, so i barely have time to rest once i do get home(cus i wake up on 3 am for a 7 am class). then the cherry on top of it all, i am now classmates with the creep that i cut off in my 1st year  
          
          i will try to update whenever i can, i promise!! thank you for being patient ㅠㅠ

i totally did not mean for this  so i have an x reader, right? and i made odysseus call the reader his little naiad. i thought it would be a cute nickname, like his little water nymph yk?
          
          i just found out in some versions, penelope is half nymph? because in some versions her mother is Periboea, a naiad nymph. so now every time i see that nickname in my notes app, it isn't just connecting her to the water but to her mother's lineage
          
          
          (and possibly something later?? idk, i have an idea for what will happen later on in the story but finals are slowly creeping in so it is rotting in my drafts)
