if you want to make an account you just type in google or safari: ao3. then you can request an invitation and they send you an email the next day or something and then you have an account. you dont need to have an account to read books though. just type in google the name of the fic and ao3. you can just read it then. if you have an iphone you can also download it and read it on the books app.
