"Leo...?"
I knock on a slightly ajar Hephaestus cabin door.
That's odd, I think as I walk in.
I head over to where Leo's bed usually is, but it's not there, so that probably means he's down below. I knock on the chute that leads to his space.
His bed comes up empty. Having been down there loads of times, I know all the buttons to press to go to Leo's room.
His elevator bed takes me down while I sit criss cross and see he's working on something with his back to me.
I smile and wrap my around his torso while placing my head on his shoulders. He stops working and grabs my hand.
"Babe," he whispers softly.
"I've missed you," I frown.
He sighs. I've told him this already too many times."
"I know, I know" he says and turns around to face me.
I connect our foreheads.
"I've been so busy," he whispers.
"it's not fair,"
"I know," he repeats and kisses me softly.
"Can't you even have lunch?" I try to convince him, but he knows that I have to complete the prophecy alone and he's building everything he can to help me.
I trace the bags under his eyes.
"Leo, you won't be here when I get back if you don't sleep."
He walks to his bed and repeats the same thing again, "I know."
I lay next to him with my hand on his warm chest. His heart beats tiredly.
"I love you, Leo." I tell him, because I really am worried about the prophecy.
I look up to him and notice he's already snoring softly.
I peck his cheek and curl up next to him after a bring a blanket to our chins.
"I love you," I repeat."
