Born as the middle child of many, Avery spent most of her childhood learning how to speak "alpha" and "sport" so that she could speak to the rest of her male-dominated family. As a result, she is often thought of as "one of the guys" and has a fairly tough exterior. Writing is something she has done ever since she was able to pick up a pencil and scrawl on the wall of the downstairs toilet (sorry about that, Dad!) and she hasn't stopped since. In between conversing with characters in her head, and spending many a day in her favourite coffee shop, watching couple argue, teenagers fall in lust, and the TOTALLY hot barista (seriously, he's like off-the-freaking-scale-hot!) Avery does manage to fit in a boring 9-5 job…where she secretly types up fake stories about her douchebag boss and the bitch in booth #473. SPOILER: They both die in the end.
