Good morning!
How's everyone doing? I haven't finished writing Chapter 34 yet because I got caught up watching the movie adaptation of Emily Henry's 'People We Met on Vacation'—and I must say, it was so memorable! Y'all should definitely watch it. The characters have their own uniqueness, which makes the story so interesting. It will make you laugh and swoon, wishing to experience that kind of love too—to feel at home not in a specific place, but in a specific person. Emily Henry just keeps proving to me why she's one of my favorite authors!
And may I just mention that one line Poppy said that really stayed with me? She said:
"Once people decide who you are, that's it."
Not that I can totally relate to it, but it hit so hard. It was a brief, simple line, but it carries so much weight. I also love how the movie teaches us how important compromise is, but in a way where you don't lose yourself. Alex and Poppy are total opposites; they love the things the other hates, but they still manage to work it out. It simply shows that no excuses can be made when there is genuine love. Compromise—that is the perfect word to describe it. It really is necessary in a relationship at times.
Anyway, if you love a rom-com where the leads are friends-to-lovers who only see each other for one week every year on vacation, you surely wouldn't want to miss this adaptation!
And oh? I forgot to mention I just finished reading a very interesting book, too. But that's a story for another day! For now, I think I need to get back to writing my own ongoing story. :DD
As a book lover and movie enthusiast, I just couldn't help but stop for a while to enjoy how others put their creative ideas into words and scenes.
Happy Sunday, everyone!!!
I hope you look forward to my next updates. ;))
