Hello, fellow readers, reviewers and authors,

My name is Íris, I'm 23 years old and I write to you from Angola, a country planted by the West Coast of the beautiful and magical Africa. As you might be thinking, my native language is not English, but Portuguese. I've always been somehow connected to arts. My area of expertise is photography and visual arts, but reading was always an immanent passion of mine. Being a reader was always much more usual to me than being a writer, but words have always captivated me. Here I hope to learn with all of you how to review and write better.

Reading goes with breathing to me. Some of my favorite authors are Gabriel García Márquez, Vladimir Nabokov, George Orwell, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Alice Walker, Haruki Murakami and José Saramago.
I'm a sucker for fiction and nonfiction, but fiction takes the cake most times. YA and Sci-fi are usually genres I try to avoid, but every now and then I like to read them to unwind.

I'm not very picky when it comes to authors: as long as they write well, are not repetitive and don't jump sharks in the middle of the story, I can enjoy the book.
