This is a message from me, as an author, to fellow authors who have been affected by the recent banning of several novels.
I know this is not an easy time. Hearing that your novel has been banned from being sold a work born from your heart, the result of your effort, passion, and soul is deeply painful. It’s not just about a book being pulled from shelves, but it feels like an attempt to erase your voice and your spirit.
But let me say this: you did not fail ,you made an impact. And because of that impact, your work was challenged. In a world where many prefer silence and comfort in the familiar, you chose to speak truth. And that, my friend, is a rare and powerful kind of courage.
A ban can never kill meaning. Your book may no longer be sold openly, but its ideas will live on in the hearts of readers, in quiet conversations, and in the inspiration it gives to other writers.
To all of you keep writing. The world needs writers who do not back down. Who don’t just write to be praised, but to move, to heal, and to awaken.
And to other writers out there don’t stop. Don’t let what’s happening now break your spirit. Instead, let it fuel you to write deeper, more honestly, and more boldly.
Writing is a form of resistance. Every line you write, even if not everyone understands it, is a step toward a more conscious and thoughtful world. We don’t need to be perfect to be worthy of creating we just need to be honest. And in that honesty, we find our strength.
Write anyway. Even when it’s hard. Even when it’s risky. Even when no one seems to listen. Because someone out there is waiting for exactly what you have to say.
To all writers ,whether your book has been banned or you’re still in the process of creating , keep going. Your words matter. Your voice has a place in this world. Don’t let fear silence your creativity.
I stand with you. And as long as there are those who dare to write, there is still hope.
