            zabuza knew that voice and he heard it before seeing naruto. his dark eyes rolled and he sent a light glare his way.  "what?  if you have something worth my time to say,  then say it."

            "/haku/?"  the man rose his eyebrows and then glanced away,  almost looking sad for just a moment.  yet,  not even a second afterwards,  his eyes were dark again.  his lips were still frowning but it was hard to see with the bandages wrapped around his face.  "he's . .  around.  and it might be.  what's it really matter to you,  boy?" 

“  do  you  still  have  that  kid  around  ?  the  one  with  the  long  hair  ?  ”  sasuke  looked  around  a  bit  skeptically  ,  he  knew  very  well  that  haku  was  quite  strong  .  he’d  probably  be  even  stronger  since  the  last  time  they’ve  met  . 
            “  is  this  the  work  of  some  sort  of  jutsu  ? ”   the   uchiha  asked  .

            the swordsman took a deep breath at the familiar voice,  glancing back towards the young boy who was a little bit behind him.  he fixed his dark gaze on sasuke for a moment then completely turned his body towards him.  "can't be?  oh,  but i am."  he then murmured,  his gaze seemingly slightly less menacing now.

            "a date?"  eyebrows furrowed a bit in confusion before he shook his head,  realizing he didn't care.  "kakashi's being a pervert,  huh?  i can't help you there."  the man mumbled,  his head shaking a bit.  "so that just leaves /you/ i suppose . ."

            the medic shrugged  , " on a date " was her response . laughing softly as she thought of the blonde asking her continuously if his hair looked good . " oh and kakashi's being a pervert " sakura shook her head , nose scrunching up in annoyance. .

            "you don't have to apologize."  the man mumbled,  scratching the side of his head a bit.  he went to walk past her,  stopping after taking only a few steps.  "so where's the rest of your team?  why are you out here by yourself?"

            a sigh left the man and he almost rolled his eyes.  "look,  i was /paid/ to come here.  alright?  so why don't you /move/,  because i need to get past."

            The silence did seem to bother Haku. In fact, it was nice. Just him and Zabuza, enjoying the quiet and the sounds of nature. It was times like this where Haku could find moments of peace. Peace, and a good time to think. When Zabuza finally spoke, Haku nodded. " That's good. " He responded with a light smile. A little red tweeting bird caught Haku's attention while they walked. It flew away right when they were about to pass it. " I'd like to have a pet bird one day, " he says, glancing upwards to Zabuza. But what he wanted meant little to himself. Because what mattered most to him was what Zabuza wanted. Zabuza deserved to get what he wanted. But Haku... He was just a tool. And tools didn't deserve things. If Zabuza was happy, then so was he. It was that simple.

            the shinobi took a deep breath and swallowed,  his lips pressed into a thin line.  he uncrossed his arms after a while,  and,  for a bit,  it was quiet between them.  only the sounds of the nature around them kept everything from being silent.  "we're almost there."  spoke zabuza eventually,  staring ahead with narrowed eyes.

            " Yeah. I figured, " Haku muttered out the response, still smiling a little. He couldn't help it - the situation was just too funny. To Haku at least. They continued to walk, Haku quickening his pace a little in order to keep up with Zabuza. It wasn't a big deal though. Haku was always able to catch up with Zabuza when they were walking.
