I just found out that one author (@deebamanja) I followed deleted their account along with their works. I read, reread, and added most of their stories. I feel very disheartened that a lot of authors are leaving or deleting their work in Wattpad. Many posts are circulating stating changes in WP policies about BL/Smut stories. Some are mad because their work are criticized so they rather not write. To be honest, I don't know what is going on anymore. Hear me out.
I have not been on WP that long. I don't write stories, I like reading them. I live a stressful life and work, especially now due to the pandemic. I find solace in reading WP stories regardless of the theme. I am also not biased to gender pairing since I especially like BL ones. Some stories are great so I reread, add them, and maybe post nice comments. Some stories may not be to my liking but I still read them. I like WP because they have a wide range of stories and doesn't let you pay to finish the rest of the chapters. Although some stories you have to pay to read, there are still lots of them that aren't like that. To those who like to post negative comments, please refrain from doing so because it really is hard to create stories. Trust me, I've tried and failed. I know everyone is free to their opinion but don't be so hard on these authors. Thank you writers/authors for being creative, imaginative, and brave for sharing your work.
