My latest novel is entitled THE UNDERGROUND RIVER in the U.S. and THE FLOATING THEATRE in the U.K. My first novel was nominated for an Edgar Award, and I've won numerous awards in Historical Fiction. After hours I teach creative writing for Stanford University's Continuing Studies Program and UC Berkeley Extension, and I've been know to write book reviews for the San Francisco Chronicle. I will read just about any genre. I love books that are written well and have great plots - the more surprises the better!
