            yep.  that's  my  line  of  work,   it's  quite  fun  actually.   i   see  by  your  attire  you're  also  in  a  more..   unusual  trade  of  work.    got  any  stories?    [   they  couldn't  help  but  be  curious,  even  if  it  was  an   overstep of an ask on a first meeting it  was  in  his  nature.  he  knew  boundaries  so  if  the  question  was  rejected  he'd  back  off.    ]

            that  precisely  why  i'm  here,   investigative  purposes.  surely  you  get  it.    i  won't  be  in  the  way,   not  really  the  type  to  fully  get  involved  in  dangerous  stuff.      [   perhaps  a  slight  fib   within   those   words.   it  was  part  of  his job,  so  he  tells  himself.  the  strange  and  unknown   were  what  kept  him  curious  about   life,  so  nothing   surprises   them.   ]

                            “  uh  —  people  usually  run  and  call  the  police  or  shoot  us.  you're  so  calm  about  it.  ”  ⟨  irregular  would  definitely  be  a  way  to  describe  it,  for  sure  he  could  add  a  couple  other  choice  words  if  he  really  wanted  to.  but he  kept  his  lips  sealed  for  the  time  being.  ⟩  “ no.ᐣ  i  don't  hurt  anyone  but  he  might.  that's  all  im  saying. ”  ⟨  they'd  already  seen  the  symbiote  and  there  was  no  use  in  denying  it  at  all  that  would  just  be  foolish.  eddie  wasn't  like  this  until  he  was  adopted  as  venom's  host,  so  much  came  with  that.  a  hunger  increase,  craving  for  strange  foods,  lack  of  energy  it  was  a  lot  to  stabilize  himself  and  the  alien  that  had  merged  itself  with  him  including  most  of  his  energy  and  his  exhaustion  showed  in  his  features,  tired  eyes  and  eyebags  evident. ⟩   “  you've  seen  an  alien  that  lives  within  the  body  of  a  human  that  comes  out  on  occasion  to  eat  people's  heads.ᐣ that's  the  norm  in  'your' line for work.ᐣ ”

            call  me  irregular  but,    what's  there  to  be  afraid  of..?   [   he  was  quite  possibly  perceived  as  crazy  or  a  loon  by  many  whether  within his  work  or  citizens.  but  with  what  he  retained  as  a  child,  and  how  void    he  was  of  true  fear,  akai  couldn't  help  but  only  be  intrigued  further  by  beings  seen  as  "monstrous."    ]    you  planning  to  cause  me  harm  big  guy?   [  tone  was  lighthearted,  wasn't  even  a  question  as  they  already  knew  the  answer  without  getting  a  full  look.   he  tugged  a  lollipop  from  the  confines  of  his  coat  and  unfurling  the wrapper,  before  indulging  in  the  sweet  treat  as  he  usually   does.   this  guy  was  tense,  nervous,  of  himself  quite  more  than  anything  else.   it'd be  worrying  to  anyone  else,  perhaps  they'd  even  suggest  this  one  medical.  help  but  there  was  quite  literally  no  remedy  for  this.   no need  for  one,  was  what  kashi  personally  thought.  why  change  what  you  can  learn?   ]    i've  seen  a  lot,  know  a  lot,  the  works.    comes  with  the  line  of  work.

                          ⟨  eddie  wasn't  entirely  sure  if  the  other  had  really  spotted  them  but  when he  spoke  up  about  it,  cracking  a  joke  the  man  slowly  turned  around  deciding whether  or  not  to  play  the  clueless  role  or  not.  but  from  the  words  that  left  their  mouth  it  was  obvious  they'd  seen it  all.  normally  when  the  symbiote  was  out  and  spotted  they  ran  away  in  fear  or  froze  up.  but  the  detective  didn't  take  off  in  fact  he  looked  pretty  ..  calm.ᐣ  this  really  through  brock  for  a  loop  the  first  time  he  realized  he  was  the  host  and  the  alien  was  inside  of him,  the  perfect  fit  he  was  horrified  especially  when  he  really  made  himself  known. eddie  wiped  a  bead  of  sweat  away  from  his  forehead  but  he  kept  his  distance.  ⟩   “  uh  huh.  right. why  are  you  —  running.ᐣ  calling  me  a  monster.ᐣ  the  usual.  aren't  you  scared.ᐣ  ”  ⟨  his  eye  twitched  a little  before  he  rubbed  at  it,  he  was  still  adjusting  to  the  symbiote  they'd  only  been  fused  for  a couple  of  months  now.  ⟩

            HELLO??!?!? I haven't been on akai in forever..

                   kashikoi became a mature child too early which started to frighten his parents , though being mature as they were , he realized he would start to miss the luxuries of being a child & also have people on his back if he "aged too fast" in the mental department . so akai sought out to making friends in school & found the childish & silly part to their true personality . cracking jokes to distract their peers from how scholarly they were so their parents wouldn't have to hear the complaints , so bullies wouldn't test his patience . he wasn't faking it , kashi didn't have the time or patience to lie to please others , he enjoyed the company of others & lightening a mood tended to  lighten theirs too . it made coming home to an empty house easier , knowing the next day he'd have friends to chatter away with . though no one would ever understand his in depth love & intrigue with detective work . they would even take notes , filling book after book with things they knew had happened before that part had even come up in the show . people had become easier to read as akai aged , by 16 they had practically figured out how the human mind worked . every human was different , he'll,  every / BEING / was different . an enigma . but akai always found a way to crack it . it seemed to shock all of their peers when they went into the field that they did in college & came out as a detective . & boy were their parents worrying away , here they had hoped that he would've taken a safe office job . but had they noticed the neglectful parenting they had done all those years & the television they were exposed to , they'd have learned of the child's true passion . crime solving . 

                  BACKSTORY  ..  [  PENDING ]   !!   —  FAMILY HISTORY  (  *  )
            
                      where it all started was their exposure , exposure to crimes . specifically crime shows , crime movies , detective series , the works . whatever thrillers & thinkers they had running on the television , akai sought em out & paid attention to every one of em like it was a class assignment due tomorrow . of course , this happened due to negligence by his parents , their parents were the types to turn the television on & leave it running so he wouldn't tear up the house & stress them out . it wasn't that his parents didn't love or care for them , that was exactly their issue . to make sure their child was never tainted by their own familial experiences or the possibilities of a terrible childhood , they drove themselves into work , earning money to buy into a luxurious lifestyle so their child could live comfortably . akai barely ever saw them , the tv was practically what raised him , other than the crappy school system . ( his school wasn't terrible , akai started developing smarts faster than what he was being taught so they found themselves more irritated with the insufficient & idiotic style of teaching that was deemed "passable" by regulation . )

                     a detective with an all to strange way of dealing with things . at least in the eyes of the people who hire them or work in similar fields . this detective has a knack for being more than meets the eye , people often misjudge him/them for being idiotic & too care free . because he/they tend(s) to be lighthearted , friendly , unfazed by any threats or physical violence thrown in their/his direction . he's/they're also quite known for being adept at solving cases , though people hear many unsavory things in the grapevine about their/his personality . the detective is actually an intellectual problem solver & master of case studies . having never found a case they couldn't crack in record timing . with a mind like a steal trap , it was amazing how anyone could ever have made them/him the button of their jokes . 
            
                the detective has two sides to their/his coin (personality) . on one end is what they are truly , not that they ever fake any emotions or put up a facade , they have no need to as they see everyone the same . no one is better or worse than them as every human , creature , & whatnot has a fault . they are kind of a goofball which is sort of odd but he likes to make people cheer up a lot . his line of work is too dreary , of course it's used in appropriate situations only . the detective never uses any kind of humor that could affect or offend anyone in dire mental states , he doesn't feed into that kind of behavior either . akai is a friendly individual if nothing else , always attempting to offer something of aid to anyone who steps into his office , a glass of water , a bite to eat , even just a spot to sit . they were nothing if not courteous . they are , as said before , smart ,  levels beyond their birth parents knowledge . something even they dared not look a gift horse in the mouth for the answers to .
