Today marks the 78th Independence Day of India, a day that should be a celebration of our freedom and progress. But can we truly celebrate when women in our country continue to face such grave dangers? Despite 78 years of independence, women are still unsafe, enduring unspeakable hardships.
What is the government waiting for? Shouldn't they be taking swift and decisive action against the criminals, ensuring justice and protection for all?
Yesterday, it felt as though the true Kaliyug has begun. Our India, once a land of great culture and traditions, where epic wars like the Mahabharata and Ramayana were fought to protect the dignity of women, now witnesses men behaving like monsters. How can we, in good conscience, celebrate Independence Day when the women of our nation are not safe even in their workplaces? India cannot truly claim independence until every woman can live, work, and thrive without fear.
